Bible Study Retreat Themes
Nothing brings me greater joy than growing with you as we open the Scriptures and discover the treasures of Jesus.
My aim is to guide women to study God's Word, grasp onto its promises, and step boldly into its power.
It would be my joy to partner with you.
(Each theme below has been designed for a retreat including four 1-hour teaching sessions.)
Press On:
A Study of Paul's Letter to the Philippians
Penned almost 2,000 years ago, this letter has profound encouragement for us today as we learn what it means to press on for the Gospel.
Paul's passion for the gospel and love for the Lord Jesus will move us to want to know Christ more, just like Paul desired.
As we study the entire book of Philippians, we will learn what it means to press on for the Gospel, press on to think like Jesus, press on to know Jesus more, and press on in joy.
Resting in God
in a Restless World
Is anyone else ready for a nap? Anyone feel like she just needs a break? Girl, Jesus wants to give you rest!
Throughout the gospel accounts, we see Jesus pouring His grace, mercy and love out on hurting and misunderstood women...women just like you and me.
Let's hit dusty trails with Jesus and see how He alone gives us rest from unmet expectations, reputation, and condemnation .
Spirit Life:
Living in the Promises of Romans 8
Romans 8 is a grand and sweeping declaration of life in the Spirit. In the words of Romans 8, we are introduced to the Spirit who lives inside of believers in Jesus, sets us free, ushers us into life and peace, resurrects our souls, intercedes for us, testifies to us that we are children of God, secures our salvation, empowers us to perseverse through the groanings of this world, and assures us of the certain hope to come.
In the Spirit Life study, we will study this grand chapter of Scripture one verse at a time, grasping onto it's wonderful promises.
Jesus:
God's Mystery,
Our Treasure
A Study of Paul's Letter to the Colossians
Paul's letter to the church in Colossae gives us beautiful insights into the Lord Jesus.
As we study each verse of this ancient letter, we will discover new depths of the mystery of God and the treasure of mankind...Jesus.
We will learn more about the cross and what it accomplished for us, as well as practical skills for living as followers of Jesus in our world.
Joshua:
Courageous Obedience
Wandering for 40 years in the desert, studying at the feet of Moses, crossing the raging Jordan, encountering the Commander of the Lord's Army, marching in circles around Jericho, commanding the sun to stand still, trying his best to not turn to the left or to the right.
Joshua's life of unabashed obedience has a tremendous amount to teach you and I as we too encounter a culture that is far from Him.
